Reconigtion and AppreciationThe following individuals helped bring the reunion, genealogy and wesbite projects to fruition and we owe them our gratitude for their work.Sister Regina BernadetteSister Regina did the pioneering work on Martin I and Anna (Kujawska) Wesnofske and Martin II and Mary (Jankowski) Wesnofske, her grandparents and parents, respectively. She put togetther a family tree in 1988 that included families from two younger generations of descendants as well. From her extensive research, she located the original applications for citizenship for Martin I and also the deed to the original farm on Little Neck Parkway. Dorothy Frost Lutgen Dorothy put together a much more extensive geneaological record and
family history for her ancestors, the Martin II Wesnofske's and Mary
Jankowski in 2001.
Terence Ducey Terry, a grandson of Henry and great grandson of Martin I and Anna,
spent considerable effort in 2000 and 2001 tracking down and verifying
bits and pieces of information relating to the family in official
records and parish records of St. Hedwig's, ascertaining the original name and other information.
Maureen DrewMaureen, an amateur genealogical buff, spent considerable time researching deeper back into Martin I ancestors and using microfilm resources of baptismal and marriage found information on Martin I prior to his immigration to the United States in 1874. |
