Sally in uniform
Sally was the youngest child and daughter of John and Johanna.  She was doted on by her older brothers and sisters as the youngest child.

After service in WW II as an Army nurse,  she worked for the United States Department of State as a Public Health Officer and medical professional in posts throughout the post WW II world.

She served the US government in Yugoslavia, in Japan, and in India.  She was an inveterate traveler and adventurer in her career writing from distant places to relatives in letters and post cards.  The postage stamps of her communications and the pictures of her travels were a fascination and inspiration to the families of her older brothers and sisters.

My 'buick' was the only transportation in this particular place.  Much fun mixed with hard work."  - Sally
